DSLs Together is a free professional community for designated safeguarding leads, safeguarding teams, headteachers and others with responsibility for keeping children safe.
It was created to solve a very real problem: safeguarding professionals carry enormous responsibility, but can have very few people with whom they can speak honestly about the role.
Statutory guidance tells you what is required. Community helps you work out what that means in practice.
The DSL role demands knowledge, judgement, courage and resilience, often alongside another substantial role.
DSLs Together connects you with people who understand those realities. It is a place to:

It exists for safeguarding professionals.
That boundary allows members to participate, ask questions and share their experiences without every conversation becoming a sales opportunity.
I’m a barrister and safeguarding specialist with more than 30 years’ experience across law, education and safeguarding.
I created DSLs Together because professional connection matters. The community now brings together nearly 2,000 people, but its purpose remains simple: to help safeguarding professionals feel more connected, confident and supported.
Safeguarding work is serious, but our community can still hold light, hope and joy.
