Most people who write to me are somewhere in the middle of something: a case that will not sit still, an inspection coming, a team that needs training, or a question you would rather ask a person than a policy document. Tell me where you are and I will point you at the right thing, even if the right thing turns out not to be me.
Before anything else, there is a complimentary 30 minute phone or video consultation. No charge and no obligation, just time to talk through what is going on and work out whether I am the right person for it.
A couple of lines is plenty. Tell me who you are, where you work and what is on your mind, and I will take it from there.
Some things are easier said in your own words, in your own time. These all reach me.
Every message is read by a person, and the reply comes from a person too, not an automatic acknowledgement. If it is urgent, say so in your first line and it will be treated that way. And if what you need turns out to be somebody else's job, I will tell you plainly and point you at them.
A lot of what people write in for is already on the site, and it is quicker to go straight there.
